The annual spring workshop for OEA-SEOEA members will be held on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at the OU Inn, 331 Richland Avenue, Athens, Ohio 45701. * This Is a change of date for the Conference.
The topics for the Workshop Include:
9:00 A.M. – 10:15 A.M.: “The Truth Behind the Janis Case”: OEA Vice President- Scott DiMauro & OEA Research Consultant- Nick Gurich will provide an update on what changes are ahead for public education’s union and what our members can expect in the coming months.
10:20 A.M. – 10:35 A.M.: “NEA Member Benefits/California Casualty Insurance”: California Casualty Insurance Rep.- Sharlie Trentman will provide information on what Is available to you as OEA members and how to save you money.
10:40 A.M. – 11 :55 A.M.: “Financial Planning /Looking Toward Retirement”- STRS Representative- Hope Short will provide information on changes that are in effect for all educators
and what to be aware of in today’s changing market to prepare yourself for retirement and much more.
*There will be drawings for gift cards and other prizes conducted throughout the conference.
Registration fee is $15 and will be refunded to SEOEA members during the lunch that is scheduled at Noon. Therefore. the conference is FREE to all that attend through lunch.
Registration begins at 8:30 A.M. and a continental breakfast will be provided. Workshop starts at 9:00 A.M. Please make checks payable to SEOEA.
