The annual SEOEA Fall workshop for all OEA-SEOEA members will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019 at LaRosa’s, 966 East Main Street, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
The topics for the Workshop Include:
“New” OTES – OEA Education Consultant Ellen Adornetto will provide an update the latest changes in OTES. What it is? How has it changed? What can we do in order to protect ourselves? The evaluation system is changing again, is it to our benefit, is it fair?
NEA Member Benefits – Sharlie Trentman will provide information on how members can save money with the services they provide. It is an easy way to recoup your dues dollars if you just take the time to utilize the savings.
Legislative Update 2019 – New OEA Vice-President Jeff Wensing will provide an update on Campaign 2019, who we have endorsed, key races and what we can do to participate. He will also give an update on legislation that impacts public education and our members, and what we can do to help public education.
There will be drawings for gift cards and other prizes conducted throughout the conference.
Registration fee is $15, which will be refunded to SEOEA members at the provided lunch (scheduled at noon.) So – this is basically a FREE workshop to members!
