The annual SEOEA Spring Issues Conference for all OEA-SEOEA members will be held on
Saturday, March 13, 2021 on ZOOM.
The topics for the Workshop Include:
“New” OTES 2.0 – OEA Education Consultant Ellen Adornetto will provide an update on the latest changes in OTES. What it is? How has it changed? What can we do in order to protect ourselves? The evaluation system is changing again. Is it to our benefit, and is it fair?
NEA Member Benefits – Guy Kendal-Freas will provide information on how members can save money with the services they provide. It is an easy way to recoup your dues dollars if you just take the time to utilize their services. The main topic Is Student Loan Forgiveness.
Using Google Meets “Issues” in the Classroom & Best Practices – An OEA Representative will give us advice on how to use the new technology safely and professionally without running into Issues with the Code of Conduct and jeopardizing our License.
Legislative/Educational Funding Update – OEA Vice President Jeff Wensing will provide an update on what is going on at the state house and the latest legislative issues.
There will be drawings for gift cards and other prizes conducted throughout the conference.
